Rare Vintage Lowe Chess Set Bakelite Red & Butterscotch W Case Made In USA

  

This a beautiful vintage 1920's or 30's red and yellow Bakelite chess set by E. Set is complete and includes original box or case. King piece is 3 5/8 inches tall.

Pawns are just under 2 inches. All pieces are assembled which is typical of Lowe's design. Each piece has a top that is screwed into its bottom part. Bakelite has a nice feel to the touch and the weight is good. 1.600 grams or over 3 1/2 pounds before packing.

Case measures 14 3/4 inches by 10 inches and 2 1/4 inches tall. Some pieces will need minor cleaning but that is expected but overall great shape. Case is also in great clean condition for the age.
